POEM: Let Us Join Together

Let us join together
Leaving behind creed and class
Races and titles
Just walking the walk
And occasional talk
Working side by side with hands and hearts
Playing in fields with horizons stretching
And resting without fences or locks
Taking in awe
That life has to nourish us
To keep us growing
Giving freely
That which cannot be bought

The hopeful poem is an invitation to leave behind the apparent dystopia that reigns so prevalently.  This poem offers a vision and a broad formula of what a more utopian existence would look like and how to get there.  Hope invites.  Hope is a communal thing.  Feel free to invite others.  Feel free.  Who knows, one day we might just discover that we are free…
