POEM: Fire Metes Fire

Hate is sadness wrapped in razors. -- Aaron French quote

Fire Metes Fire

“Hate is sadness wrapped in razors.” — Aaron French

As the whirled burns
The people cried and cried
We must fight fire with fire too
Get out
Of this hell
We are all in
Yet know madder how much
We teared up
Our tsunami of rage
Could not sea
Our on going
Scorched earth
Raze to the bottom
Soully un-till
Blood is thicker
Then water
Holed fast
Unyielding expectations
Of an other’s blood
Down to getting
The last drop
On them
Never quiet examining
Our own
Temper meant
And bloodless quest in
Water you going too due
When you sea yourself
Put out
