POEM: Time Heels All

Patience.

Time Heels All

“For I was envious of the arrogant as I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” –Psalm 73:3

Life and death
Are fated together
Wickedness seams sewn as weeds
In the mettle of the good
As harvests are sacked
And what might
Be made a bout this
As plowed in two
A fecund feeled
Who can disentangle good and evil?
The soul way peers
As time heels all

“For a little while they are exalted, and then they are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like heads of grain.” –Job 24:24
