POEM: In Neutral

If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor -- Desmond Tutu quoteUnquestionably, we are living in times when if we do not vigorously question the many endemic injustices surrounding US and take action to end them, then we are the problem.

In Neutral

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor”
– Desmond Tutu

He had herd
The easiest weigh
To enter the human raze
Buy submitting
Parking it
In neutral
Where he went
As fast as he could
Comforted by the way things whir
Stupefied by glorious revs
Dumb founded by the rumble
The choke full throttle
Bullishly putting exhaustion to the rear
He didn’t no
Where he was going
Butt was making
Great time
