POEM: Bad Guise

In case those masked cops rounding up people in the streets were fretting over who might be coming for them, it’s just us…

Bad Guise

You may have herd
Cops need masks
To protect themselves from the people
Posed bad guise
And that is knot enough
The masked cops need cops
Due the cops protecting the cops need cops?
The chauvinist-in-chief courts trouble
Parently with impunity
In citing cops need bad guise
And such daze
We’ll pass
Over hauling wee the people
As just us peers
Answering that singular question
Copping pleas?
