POEM: The Bettor Portion

The Bettor Portion

I spent
Half my life
Accumulating
By my ever larger hows
By the moving truckload
By degree
By travails around the whirled
Combing the heirs of life
And still
I wonder
Is there a better weigh
Life
What might contain her
Life was amor
Then
A flying leap
More a kin
To a parachute
Soully created
To buoy the vary win
And help us sail
As ever sow gently
Catch one’s breath
That’s the spirit!
