POEM: OWED TO MARRIAGE EQUALITY – Statue of Liberty Kissing Lady Justice

Here is my Independence Day tribute to marriage .  Enjoy!

Owed to Marriage
by Dan Rutt, alias “” (it's just, my pun name)

When lady
Who is out of sight
Sees statuesque liberty
Carrying a torch for her
A liberty belle rings “out”
And from a Philly unbroken
Transcending brotherly
Engendering flaming kisses
There is

Of the peace
