POEM: Text Message From Rumi

I got a text message from Rumi:
big screen tv died
whole world looks like 3D
That was over a thousand years ago

Real is infinitely more fascinating than virtual life.  It’s like trying to compare 3D to 2D: there aren’t really words adequate for it.  Rumi’s timeless message is embedded in a short story encompassing times.  The instant text messaging and big screen televisions may draw us into their world.  Nevertheless, the whole world will eventually have its day; and if it’s a good day, it can last a thousand years – even given the worst of intentions.
