I like this design because it speaks for itself — without words!  While words are symbols themselves, it’s hard to argue with a simple peace sign, though many do.  As it is a signature style of mine, I like putting apparently incongruent things together to elicit a positive response.  Also, to make this more universal, I like co-opting symbols from popular culture.  Thus, the Mona Lisa, the most famous painting in the world.  Art critics seem obsessively focused on the Mona Lisa’s smile.  Apparently, because of both its technical mastery and its capturing of something ineffable.  A typical reflection would be on what the Mona Lisa’s smile is about.  Now you know!  While the peace sign was only present in an earlier version of this painting, modern science with all of its x-rays and stuff, revealed the peace sign underneath the final layers of the painting.  While Leonardo da Vinci has been recognized as a visionary genius in many fields, even beyond painting, his true visionary genius is revealed in this hidden peace sign painted centuries before the modern peace sign was invented, or in this case perhaps, rediscovered!  Rumor has it that the Mona Lisa is currently occupying the Louvre in France.  Feel free to join her in her occupation if you like…
