Voyage of the Dammed — Owed to Welcoming Refugees<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 1939 voyage of the SS St. Louis carried hundreds of German Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany who were turned back by many nations, including the United States. After return to Nazi Germany, hundreds of the refugees were murdered. This became known as “The voyage of the damned.”
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Hear, we are
\nA mist
\nThe rising tide
\nOf blood and soil
\nLook, US in efface
\nAs you turn back
\nThat time to watch
\nThat interrupted voyage of the SS
\nCrossing
\nAs unqualified high sees
\nA bout
\nThe flush verse US
\nThe dammed
\nHow due wee get
\nAmor, then well come
\nSoully to be
\nCome
\nNeighborly nation
\nA civil quest in
\nPosed to sow much \u201cmore than\u201d
\nSee wall
\nAnd levees taxed
\nIn regard to the pour
\nCared out to sea
\nCaste aweigh
\nInto the far right
