I have a well-paid job<\/span>
\nI am a captain of industry<\/span>
\nI am a member of platinum circles<\/span>
\nI am a pillar of the community<\/span>
\nMy name will live on<\/span>
\nOn plaques<\/span>
\nAnd maybe a street<\/span>
\nI need not<\/span>
\nPay the devil his due<\/span>
\nFor I’ve already been checked off his list<\/span><\/p>\n

There is an African proverb: “Where there is no wealth there is no poverty.” \u00a0Many inhabitants of Western civilization have the notion that eliminating poverty comes from wealth. \u00a0Not true. \u00a0Eliminating poverty comes from sharing. \u00a0Without sharing, no amount of financial wealth can eliminate poverty. \u00a0The greed (anti-sharing) that accumulates financial wealth is a disease, of which poverty is a symptom. \u00a0As Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Matthew 6:24) \u00a0Make your choice — the devil has — and you decide which is the pillar of community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
