Much of the life of a plant goes on unseen under ground in the root system. I suspect that most of the good work in humanity happens largely out of sight…<\/p>\n

Undergound Man<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Won might not see me
\nAs I am
\nIn this whirled
\nBlow the surface
\nDown at the plant
\nAwe of the time
\nBeing grounded
\nRooting
\nIn liquid life
\nConnected to above
\nAnd though in the dark
\nMade of light
\nTill
\nUnder ground, man<\/p>\n

NOTE: This poem’s title, “Undergound Man<\/a>” is a bit of a riff off of one of the most iconic existentialist characters from the writer, Fyodor Dostoevsky.
