I suspect that hubris is our ultimate enemy. This poem uses the metaphor of our relationship with our shadow as the shadow that the sun casts, which can disappear at high noon — in showdowns of conflict — only to appear and grow as the day continues…<\/p>\n

Fallowing the Sun<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

My shadow approached me
\nAs the day progressed
\nFortuitously, as high noon turned up
\nI had no shadow
\nAn epic win
\nThat is
\nUn-till
\nLow and be holed
\nOnce agin
