This poem did not exist a few hours ago. \u00a0I was interrupted by a thought (captured in the first few lines) and I took the time to jot them down. \u00a0Seconds turned to hours as the muse is a taskmaster second to none! \u00a0The harm we are doing to our planet haunts me. \u00a0Meditating upon the good nature of a higher power helps center me while on a planet where cynicism flows freely. \u00a0I am powerless over the creative powers. \u00a0This is a good thing! \u00a0I stand in awe. \u00a0I will stand to protect our planet. \u00a0Enjoy!<\/p>\n

\nLike our best dreams<\/span>
\nUnlike the monster one step behind us<\/span>
\nAnd gaining<\/span>
\nShe will do us no harm<\/span>
\nPatiently waiting<\/span>
\nFor her children to return<\/span>
\nTo the home she has fashioned<\/span>
\nNever out of style<\/span>
\nYet oft forgotten<\/span>
\nToo few admitting to such a hospitality <\/span>
\nTaking the mantle of patients<\/span>
\nPicturing her children’s development<\/span>
\nFramed by her own love<\/span>
\nRazed buy edifice complexes<\/span>
\nNo matter how<\/span>
\nShe made them field<\/span>
\nAnd forced unmatched<\/span>
\nGiven freely verses<\/span>
\nAccrued credo<\/span>
\nNever to retreat<\/span>
\nWith receding heir lines<\/span>
