This chasm may be a particularly telling indicator of the level of collective empathy of our nation. This poem is a utopian, anti-Orwellian fantasy where &#8220;second home encampments&#8221; are raided rather than &#8220;homeless encampments.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>2084: Novel, Utopia<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Up and down<br \/>\nAwe the shoreline<br \/>\nAt the second home encampments<br \/>\nThe police raided<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/toppun.com\/Political\/Where-there-is-no-wealth-there-is-no-poverty-African-Proverb.gif\" alt=\"Where there is no wealth there is no poverty -- African Proverb\" width=\"172\" height=\"173\" \/>The \u201cMore-hommes\u201d<br \/>\nThose citizens who couldn\u2019t get enough<br \/>\nSucking up<br \/>\nResources beyond their need<br \/>\nMasses of second homes<br \/>\nIn prime locations<br \/>\nWas emblematic<br \/>\nOf such illegal encampments<br \/>\nTheir collective licentiousness<br \/>\nWas matched soully<br \/>\nBuy their generous excuses<br \/>\nOf \u201cGod permits\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve have always found the juxtaposition of folks without any housing with folks who have second homes, especially when those second homes are far bigger and more expensive than most people with housing.
