This poem is a meditation on the banality of evil that arises from good people doing nothing when it comes knocking at their doorstep. This accomplice-ment is aided by a blinding enmeshment in a rat race offering, justification for ignoring our siblings of God and voiding our solidarity as a sacred human family.<\/p>\n

Rat Race Religion<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The mass of deaths
\nIn rat race religion
\nCede the sap of humanity
\nTo the war
\nIn security
\nAs haven unearth
\nWith hope only Abel
\nTo be delivered
\nBy grave planting
\nAnd full groan souls
\nFrom wither hour weigh of life
\nOr wents we knot worth beings
\nSow it goes
\nAs life blood
\nFor gotten
\nA hole life of have too
\nAnd we prey
\nFor a little mettle
\nAnd how might
\nWee pay
\nFor such rent
\nAs knocking death
\nAnd its many accomplice-ments
\nThat will
\nCome to pass
\nNot from the passion
\nOf fiery spirits unleashed
\nBut cold calculation
