There is a Buddhist metaphor for life, that we are in a freefall from a cliff, and that learning to relax during this freefall is the key to life. I am not one much attracted rollercoasters and the like, but when I have ridden on them, I have found it an interesting challenge to see how much I can relax during the ride. Perhaps Buddhists should have rollercoasters in their temples — strike that, they already realize they are in a freefall.<\/p>\n

Falling for It — Coming Down to Munch Time, “The Scream”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

He was speechless
\nHaving fallen for it
\nWith utter abandon
\nThe priestess of awe
\nHad for tolled
\nLife is like a dropping
\nFrom a cliff
\nA free fall
\nOf incalculable worth
\nComing down
\nTo Munch time
\nDealing with fast
\nBefore he eats it
\nThat terminal velocity
\nBefore hitting his bottom
\nHer words
\nLike the win
\nUnrushed by his years
\nBreathing presence
\nGently inspiring
\nBefore expiring
\nRelax
\nAnd enjoy the ride
\nYou awe ready no
\nThe real fear
\nDon’t feel
\nSoar
\nEven like
\nA bird
