This poem is a parody of the infamous “You can’t handle the truth” military courtroom speech from the 1992 movie, A Few Good Men<\/em>. You can view the original speech here<\/a>. Many have killed and died in wars over half-truths and hole truths.<\/p>\n

Halve Truth<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

You can’t Handel the truth
\nThat’s dammed right
\nAye ordered the cold read
\nSon, wee live in a world that has walls
\nAnd those walls halve
\nToo be guarded
\nBuy men with guns.
\nI halve a greater responsibility
\nThen you can passibly fathom
\nYou halve that luxury
\nOf not no’ing what I know
\nYou due knot wont the truth
\nBe cause
\nDeep down in plays
\nYou don’t talk
\nA bout
\nAt din’er potties
\nYou want me on AWOL
\nWee use words like “hope”, “faith”, “love”
\nWe use them as a punch lyin’
\nI have nether
\nThe time nor the inclination
\nTo explain myself to a man
\nWho rises and who sleeps
\nUnder the blank it
\nOf the vary freedom that I provide
\nAnd then questions
\nThe manor in which I provide it
\nI wood rather
\nYou just
\nSay “thank you”
\nAnd went
