Much of the brutality in our world takes the form of a war of attrition, where “the more titanic of the two” calculates that they can outlast the damage to won an other. This raze to the bottom abodes well for a vanishingly small segment of humanity. This poem looks to a way passed — contrition, a turning away from harm as a necessary mean to get won’s way. \nEach second a prelude
\nTo every yearning first
\nEvery our
\nThe only raze worth finishing
\nBeyond all means
\nSurpassing interrogation
\nFrom wents attrition peers
\nAs some holy goes
\nWhere nobody no\u2019s
\nThe blessed won
\nSown in fits and starts
\nThe more titanic of the two
\nPain in wages
\nOf a calculated wore
\nOf dis integration
\nWhere down to nothing
\nBrutalized souls and flesh bared
\nTill the last man standing
\nThe gravest of endings
\nEnshrining as hollowed ground
\nBuy passing from here to kingdom come
\nSmall mounds of common ground
\nA juggernaut of a terrain
\nOn time forever more
\nFallowing every eerie order
\nGiven to broken hearts and heads of stone
\nAnd what remains
\nA future full groan
\nAnd only Abel
\nTo dis tend
\nFor blooming eternity
\nSnowballing in Hell
\nThe winner of our discontent
\nEvery piece passable
