WELCOME To The Corporate Person Hood!<\/h1>\n

\"AbolishTheirs an outside chance<\/span>
\nSay 1%<\/span>
\nFacing such a ghostly figure<\/span>
\nThat passes over<\/span>
\nWhat sum<\/span>
\nSay billions<\/span>
\nWho could passably planet that way!<\/span>
\nEther way<\/span>
\nThe Almighty Logos<\/span>
\nTaken it<\/span>
\nTo the Greek<\/span>
\nDrug through history and currency<\/span>
\nOnly to Rustle a new Brand\u00ae<\/span>
\nThis is not where democracy comes from!<\/span>
\nWhere livestock and dead stock are just the same<\/span>
\nLike making a buck that is deer to no one<\/span>
\nThey get it all<\/span>
\nBackwards<\/span>
\nAs they are<\/span>
\nDyslexics<\/span>
\nEvery won of them<\/span>
\nAmiss take<\/span>
\nImmorality for immortality<\/span>
\nAnd in morality plays<\/span>
\nWhere the real masses<\/span>
\nCry out<\/span>
\nAuthor!\u00a0 Author!<\/span>
\nOnly to fine themselves<\/span>
\nTaxed<\/span>
\nFor a library of legal fictions<\/span>
\nWorthless signatures<\/span>
\nOn countless dotted lyins<\/span>
\nPart of the lessen plan<\/span>
\nBuying and selling naming rights<\/span>
\nWith naught even a real bastard for the lineup<\/span>
\nOnly edifice complexes<\/span>
\nFrom mother corporations<\/span>
\nAnd fatherless spawn<\/span>
\nUnendingly descendent<\/span>
\nFostering your loco shop lifter<\/span>
\nAs a parent<\/span>
\nSuch up-rearing is<\/span>
\nUnconscionable<\/span>
\nNever reaching scion<\/span>
\nThe promised<\/span>
\nLand<\/span>
\nA job<\/span>
\nPutting on heirs<\/span>
\nLike PR<\/span>
\nNot even<\/span>
\nReal state<\/span>
\nOnly wanting<\/span>
\nCold blooded lizards with personalities<\/span>
\nTo assure us<\/span>
\nReal people need not apply<\/span>
\nWhen animation pawns itself off<\/span>
\nAs real life syndication<\/span>
\nWhen incorporeal “persons”<\/span>
\nClaim the hood<\/span>
\nMore like a ski mask!<\/span>
\nRobber barrens<\/span>
\nSteal magnates<\/span>
\nAttracting lowlifes<\/span>
\nAnd burgle kings<\/span>
\nRifling through any goods<\/span>
\nIs its dealing<\/span>
\nLike some pharmaceutical pillage<\/span>
\nHearing only its own<\/span>
\nPlunderous applause<\/span>
\nThe racket here<\/span>
\nThe William E. club (that’s Bully to you!)<\/span>
\nBreaking a-head<\/span>
\nForging new bonds<\/span>
\nSharing penitentiaries only for prophet see<\/span>
\nConjuring con jobs<\/span>
\nOpen to all takers<\/span>
\nNever no-ing an inside job<\/span>
\nSincere sinecures for counterfeiters<\/span>
\nWho mint to say<\/span>
\nMoney speaks<\/span>
\nSo those without<\/span>
\nMust shut the buck up<\/span>
\nAnd weather a safe cracker in a penthouse<\/span>
\nOr a black mailer selling us some interest<\/span>
\nRe-morsel-ess tie-coons<\/span>
\nDoing<\/span>
\nWhatever<\/span>
\nIt takes<\/span>
\nGetting busy-ness<\/span>
\nProducing nothing<\/span>
\nYet reproducing!<\/span>
\nGrafting itself<\/span>
\nTo any stock to be had<\/span>
\nWith no judgment<\/span>
\nIt Chases any merger<\/span>
\nAcquiring any firm it may manage<\/span>
\nWith holding company<\/span>
\nOnly hoping its too big too fail<\/span>
\nAnd to not get caught in the pokey<\/span>
\nAfter a wile<\/span>
\nBreaking up<\/span>
\nBecause its not hard to do<\/span>
\nAnd its back up plan<\/span>
\nIs too slinky down the back stairs<\/span>
\nMaking that booty<\/span>
\nQuiet an undertaking<\/span>
\nNo witnesses<\/span>
\nNo hi Jack<\/span>
\nKnow Union Jack<\/span>
\nHeisting the flag as cover<\/span>
\nLeft with just a big stick up<\/span>
\nJolly Roger that<\/span>
\nScoring more than a little snatch<\/span>
\nGoing where no man has gone before<\/span>
\nThe S.S. Enterprise<\/span>
\nIf it’s good for US, they banned it<\/span>
\nWee the people<\/span>
\nOf the corporations<\/span>
\nBuy the corporations<\/span>
\nFore the corporations<\/span>
\nTheir constitution<\/span>
\nIs paper thin<\/span>
\nYet thick as thieves<\/span>
\nThey no no flesh<\/span>
\nIn bored rooms<\/span>
\nWhere they can’t be too rich or too thin!<\/span>
\nTheir currency (mostly DC) is rarefied<\/span>
\nIn corporation papers<\/span>
\nWell suited<\/span>
\nFor what<\/span>
\nThey do do<\/span>
\nLeaving US the tissue<\/span>
\nYet raising the stakes on these fly-by-knighted vampires<\/span>
\nIs never enough<\/span>
\nThou dust never see them!<\/span>
\nMerrily<\/span>
\nIn an Antoinettesque turn of a phrase<\/span>
\nThey take the cake<\/span>
\nAs we end up eating it<\/span>
\nFor seeing<\/span>
\nThe preoccupation<\/span>
\nof Wall Street<\/span>
\nMoney<\/span>
\nVerses<\/span>
\nCITIZENS UNITED<\/span><\/p>\n

I wrote this poem yesterday.\u00a0 The first notions struck me before dawn.\u00a0 I turned on the light and I sat up in my bed to jot down some ideas.\u00a0 By the end of the day, the poem was finished.\u00a0 YES, I may have too much time on my hands.\u00a0 But, like they say, I may be underemployed but I have an OCCUPATION!\u00a0 Long live Occupy Wall Street!<\/p>\n

This poem is dedicated to all of the Wall Street occupiers and all of those dedicated to abolishing corporate personhood and money as free (sic) speech.<\/p>\n

I usually comment on my shorter poems.\u00a0 However, this poem is 145 lines,\u00a0 just exceeding that which is gross (144, or corporate personhood, or money that speaks, if you are into metaphors).\u00a0 To comment on this poem would take me most of another day, and like money, I will let this poem speak for itself!<\/p>\n
