{"id":3754,"date":"2022-07-29T17:03:30","date_gmt":"2022-07-29T21:03:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/?p=3754"},"modified":"2022-07-29T17:03:30","modified_gmt":"2022-07-29T21:03:30","slug":"poem-putin-on-the-ritz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/2022\/07\/29\/poem-putin-on-the-ritz\/","title":{"rendered":"POEM: Putin on the Ritz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Putin on the Ritz<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>Putin showed up<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>The end<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>At the gate of heaven<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>Only to discover that<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>God is the kindest woman<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>You could ever imagine<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>Who also turns out<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>To be a huge fan<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>Of Pussy Riot<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>And if rankness were allowed<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>Putin would be in the vicinity<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>Of spam<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>Along with<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>His Aryan buds exclaiming<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>&#8220;Some type of cracker&#8221;<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>From below<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I wrote this poem near the start of the most recent invasion of Ukraine by the Russian oligarch-in-chief Vlad Putin. This poem is a tip of the hat to feminism and a loving God, as well as a parody of white supremacy of which the Russian Ukrainian invasion owes its salience, say, as compared to Russian war crimes in Syria, which received little attention in the West.
