Martin Luther King, Jr. said that “the arc of history bends toward justice.” I share this hope, and plan to add my share of acts and just living. May we all join in blessed solidarity and work to tell history to get bent in a most awesome way.<\/p>\n

The Ark of History<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

How are we
\nToo divine
\nThat legendary express way
\nOf the arc of history bending
\nToward justice
\nAll though often
\nMiss
\nTaken
\nFore just us
\nThe ark of history is long
\nAnd longing
\nThe largesse possible
\nImmeasurable enough
\nFor awe
\nAnd surpassing patients
\nIn efface of pain and suffering
\nSurviving
\nAnd bye and bye
\nTaking each won of us
\nHowever long
\nSide each loss championed
\nThat billed we are tolled
\nSow mysteriously
\nA cross generation
\nAfter generation
\nEven seventy times seven!
\nResurrecting hope
\nIn the face of dearth
\nThe fodder of fairer daze
\nBe for us<\/p>\n
