{"id":287,"date":"2012-02-12T00:01:06","date_gmt":"2012-02-12T05:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/?p=287"},"modified":"2016-03-07T15:41:02","modified_gmt":"2016-03-07T20:41:02","slug":"black-bloc-anarchists-play-hands-state-control","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/2012\/02\/12\/black-bloc-anarchists-play-hands-state-control\/","title":{"rendered":"Black Bloc Anarchists Play into Hands of State Control"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"view_title\">Chris Hedges of Znet reports on the <em>The Cancer in Occupy<\/em> as the Black Bloc Anarchists who typically are the small number in the Occupy movement protesters who behave violently, attacking police, and destroying property.\u00a0 While the Occupy movement as a whole is overwhelmingly committed to nonviolence, the use of violence that occurs occasionally plays neatly into the hands of statist forces.\u00a0 Acts of violence invariably capture the focus of the media and reinforces negative stereotypes of many Americans who have concerns with the Occupy movement.\u00a0 Most importantly, the State knows how to deal with violence.\u00a0 It is better equipped for violence.\u00a0 It is better trained for violence.\u00a0 Police and military forces vastly outnumber violent protesters.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/toppun.com\/Peace\/Buttons\/All-Weapons-Are-Boomerangs-PEACE-BUTTON.html\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"margin: 3px;\" src=\"http:\/\/TopPun.com\/ProductImages\/peace_anti_war_political_public_health_pictures\/All_Weapons_Are_Boomerangs.gif\" alt=\"All Weapons Are Boomerangs-PEACE BUTTON\" width=\"172\" height=\"172\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"3\" \/><\/span><\/a>This is a losing formula.\u00a0 Personally, as a pacifist, I find violence intrinsically offensive.
