{"id":2532,"date":"2016-10-12T12:14:47","date_gmt":"2016-10-12T17:14:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/?p=2532"},"modified":"2016-10-12T13:02:33","modified_gmt":"2016-10-12T18:02:33","slug":"third-party-poem-a-door-number-three","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/2016\/10\/12\/third-party-poem-a-door-number-three\/","title":{"rendered":"THIRD PARTY POEM: A Door Number Three"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>A Door Number Three<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Caught a mist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The cross<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Fire<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Between partisan streams<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Shooting for number won<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Too put out<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>In<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>A narrow mined field<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Wear white is anti-black<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>And black is nonwhite<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>So fanatical about your stripes<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Yet no zebras aloud in this pocket-sized zoo<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>With mirrorly elephants and asses<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Projecting pathetic passabilities<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>And discount dreams<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reeking of good buy<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>To anyone who dares no them <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Walking like a duck, talking like a duck<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Only to be ducked<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>And incorporated<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Into a sterile sermon about oral sects<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>And sow called impenetrable rectitude<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Of know choice<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>But fear<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Perpetuating too<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Evils<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Passing for number won<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>And number two<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Making sum adore<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Number three<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Sow choice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wince agin the American electorate is being cowed into the udder failure of two-party politics, milking each other, and US, for all they are net worth, in an increasingly bankrupt political system. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.toppun.com\/Political\/Buttons\/Do-You-Suffer-From-Electile-Dysfunction-The-inability-to-be-aroused-by-any-political-candidate-POLITICAL-BUTTON.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/toppun.com\/Political\/Do-You-Suffer-From-Electile-Dysfunction-The-inability-to-be-aroused-by-any-political-candidate.gif\" alt=\"Do You Suffer From Electile Dysfunction? The inability to be aroused by any political candidate POLITICAL BUTTON\" width=\"172\" height=\"173\" \/><\/a>The time is ripe to wake up from\u00a0this surreal nightmare and start making third party, fourth party, and fifth party politics a reality. \u00a0Of course, we are so distant from a functioning democracy as an oligarchy, plutocracy, and corporatacracy, that only direct action and mass movements can pivot humanity and the planet onto a sustainable path. \u00a0Mass protest and outright resistance are the increasingly emerging result of a growing gap between the will of the people and elected officials beholden to elite interests. \u00a0As is typically the case, political revolutions will be led from below, not from the top, as the status quo spins out of control. \u00a0Given the natural limits of our planetary ecosystem and the human spirit, resistance is rising. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.toppun.com\/Political\/Buttons\/Stop-Repeat-Offenders-Do-NOT-Re-elect-Them-POLITICAL-BUTTON.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/toppun.com\/Political\/Stop-Repeat-Offenders-Do-NOT-Re-elect-Them.gif\" alt=\"Stop Repeat Offenders -
