He is gone<\/strong>
\nFor good<\/strong>
\nA martyr defined<\/strong>
\nNot buy his death<\/strong>
\nRather buy living<\/strong>
\nNot confined by what is left<\/strong>
\nRather liberated by what is right<\/strong>
\nThat singular question<\/strong>
\nWhat heir will you breath<\/strong>
\nAfter being<\/strong>
\nPunched in the chest<\/strong>
\nUnfettering<\/strong>
\nTreasures never sought<\/strong>
\nBreathless moments<\/strong>
\nInevitably followed<\/strong>
\nBy deep inspirations<\/strong>
\nAnd that which was labored<\/strong>
\nBecomes awe<\/strong>
\nThe ardor<\/strong>
\nAs love requieted<\/strong>
\nReturns as naturally<\/strong>
\nAs breath abides<\/strong><\/p>\n

This poem is nominally about death. \u00a0Nonetheless, this poem is much more about living, and living well. \u00a0\"The<\/a>This poem hints at the possibility of life after death, but focuses on the here and now of living that very well may echo into eternity. \u00a0This poem alludes to the transcendence of left-right politics. \u00a0This poem speaks to the victory and treasures unfettered of one being punched in the chest followed reliably by inspiration. \u00a0This poem is a reflection on the sublime triumph of love through\u00a0both the gritty battles of life and quiet, tender surrender. \u00a0May our love for life and each other echo far beyond the deaths we experience.<\/p>\n
