Well<\/strong>
\nI never<\/strong>
\nHappy to be mad<\/strong>
\nMad too be happy<\/strong>
\nThis might be crazy<\/strong>
\nThat maybe fitting<\/strong>
\nAnte this and ante that<\/strong>
\nGiven fighting chance<\/strong>
\nAnd unbelievable odds<\/strong>
\nOf uncounted to won<\/strong>
\nBeat up and up beat<\/strong>
\nPleased as punched<\/strong>
\nAs if<\/strong>
\nTo be found in rare form<\/strong>
\nA sure fire Job<\/strong>
\nEmploying awe<\/strong>
\nMourning and knight<\/strong>
\nA play full<\/strong>
\nOf blowing people’s mines<\/strong>
\nSeeing red<\/strong>
\nAnd knot blue<\/strong>
\nSow far fetched<\/strong>
\nAs inconceivably making merry<\/strong>
\nLike straight out gay<\/strong>
\nTickled pink<\/strong>
\nIn efface of one’s enmity<\/strong>
\nHaving enough<\/strong>
\nIf only<\/strong>
\nMad happy<\/strong>
\nPleas<\/strong>
\nTo get with it<\/strong>
\nAwe the rage<\/strong><\/p>\n

The origin of this poem emanates from a conversation where I found myself declaring an intent to be the happiest angry person and angriest happy person in the world. \u00a0\"The<\/a>Such paradoxical conundrums are emblematic of my life experienced internally and presented to the world in awe its parent confusion. \u00a0Such a paradox is close kin to my persistent existence as both an intensely serious person and a person practically incapable of being serious. \u00a0I feel that I have a fare grasp of the systems of pain in plays in this world. \u00a0I also feel a keen sense of the unbearable lightness of being. \u00a0In short, perhaps too short, my life is weigh existential. \u00a0I have a deepening appreciation for anger, even rage. \u00a0I strongly suspect that to be a highly conscious person on this planet might require an intimate relationship with outrage. \u00a0\"\t<\/a>Outrage can be a profoundly humanizing experience, providing energy to respond to palpable injustices. \u00a0Also, simply experiencing the anger over loss present in all injustices, whether mourned passively or actively, seems to represent a form of connection, even solidarity, with persons experiencing injustice. May my madness deepen my connection to others and synergize my commitments and capabilities to struggle for justice for all.<\/p>\n
