\nCome to Jesus moments<\/strong>
\nWear there is skin in the game<\/strong>
\nBeyond black and white<\/strong>
\nWord<\/strong>
\nAnd what surrounds<\/strong>
\nWords<\/strong>
\nBecoming flesh<\/strong>
\nAnother flood<\/strong>
\nIn a see of<\/strong>
\nRed between the lyin’s<\/strong>
\nMore than throwing the book<\/strong>
\nAt smacking<\/strong>
\nOf the full lips of won’s savor<\/strong>
\nA forgiving fodder<\/strong>
\nAll the wile preying too<\/strong>
\nKnowing not what due<\/strong>
\nHoly discriminating<\/strong>
\nNo the color of blood<\/strong>
\nKnow more<\/strong>
\nTechnicolored Jesus<\/strong>
\nA mine blowing Palestinian Jew<\/strong>
\nBorne and razed<\/strong>
\nAs soul<\/strong>
\nProperty of another religion<\/strong>
\nSlaves to shedding<\/strong>
\nThat which is<\/strong>
\nIndistinguishable from their own<\/strong>
\nPooring into the world<\/strong>
\nSeedlings multifariously soiled<\/strong>
\nConverted to a cross<\/strong>
\nSaved fore Christ<\/strong>
\nOnly knot<\/strong>
\nApprehending<\/strong>
\nWith due convictions<\/strong>
\nBuy red letter Christians<\/strong>
\nDrinking from rose colored glasses<\/strong>
\nAs white as know<\/strong>
\nGiving him hail<\/strong>
\nKing of the Jews<\/strong>
\nAs a sign of the tines<\/strong>
\nIn tongues speaking<\/strong>
\nReportedly above cross<\/strong>
\nAs fallower remains<\/strong>
\nIntent disciples<\/strong>
\nPaving the highway to hell<\/strong>
\nTrod by poor soles<\/strong>
\nBack in black<\/strong>
\nAnd who<\/strong>
\nSuspects<\/strong>
\nIn America<\/strong>
\nAs when roamin’ umpire<\/strong>
\nIf a man is hung from a tree<\/strong>
\nHe’s black<\/strong>
\nN conceivably<\/strong>
\nSome thing other<\/strong><\/p>\n

This poem is about a Jesus for all, black and white, boringly straight and fabulously technicolor.\u00a0 This poem is about the violence and racism present in American Christianity.\u00a0 If Christians must be black and white, the evidence points more to a Black Jesus than a White Jesus.\u00a0 A nation built on slavery still undergirds contemporary lynching, parently paling in comparison in present-day whitewashed White supremacy.\u00a0 Of course, America has ambitious rule beyond its boarders.\u00a0 The imperial American rule of the world and its concomitant violence has been condoned, even blessed, by American Christianity.\u00a0 A Palestinian Jew is inconceivable to most.\u00a0 Perhaps this explains the prevalence of virgin birth doctrine.\u00a0 We are all pink inside, and for some strange reason, the fruit of this seems to only be conceive Abel by shedding won an other’s blood.\u00a0 May we reach a stage of enlightenment where we can live together as one humanity, or at least not use the crucifixion of one as rationale for the crucifixion of an other.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
