Teeming with errs<\/strong>
\nTheir egos agin<\/strong>
\nThey took their best shot<\/strong>
\nSow prod of themselves<\/strong>
\nIn citing<\/strong>
\nYour poetry makes no cents<\/strong>
\nAs if<\/strong>
\nThe golf between us<\/strong>
\nAs driven in sanity<\/strong>
\nFrom goad above<\/strong>
\nRather demanding <\/strong>
\nA stroke of genius<\/strong>
\nWringing hollow<\/strong>
\nIn a tin cup<\/strong>
\nThat fateful hole in won<\/strong>
\nIn things looking up<\/strong>
\nAnd people looking down<\/strong>
\nAt storied little balls<\/strong>
\nAnd exclusive clubs<\/strong>
\nBeating with in<\/strong>
\nNo bogey men hear<\/strong>
\nThe par will always be with us<\/strong>
\nNot sow stuck on the short game<\/strong>
\nPut on buy the green<\/strong>
\nRazing polls and flags<\/strong>
\nTo victory<\/strong>
\nOnly to wind up<\/strong>
\nBeing<\/strong>
\nIn side job<\/strong>
\nAs aww some coinage<\/strong>
\nOf mine a loan<\/strong>
\nTempting too undue<\/strong>
\nBeing so much as a cad he<\/strong>
\nAnd he he he<\/strong>
\nLeft behind with scratch<\/strong>
\nKnot even ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a poet’s poem. \u00a0This poem has one of those bonus titular words, adumbrate<\/em>, which means foreshadow. \u00a0I must confess, as highly alliterate as I am, I only discovered this word in the thoroughs of my joyous addiction to Thesaurus.com<\/a>.\u00a0 In due course, the title begs “a dumb rating my too sense,” as standing speechless is an awe-too-common response to reading (or trying to read) my poetry. \u00a0This poem dismisses the gulf between making cents, buy tailoring and valuing a poem by its popular, a peel, rather than glorying in singular glimpses of awe that can be mined in a fantastical mountain of meaning. \u00a0My poetry is not for the feign of heart or to revel as\u00a0IQ smarts. \u00a0As most beauty in this universe is never experienced by humans, as we pass up the illustriously novel for the merely comical, I stand in solidarity with the better share\u00a0of the universe. \u00a0Sow it shall be ridden, commanded by fire that does not burn, in stone that knows how to roll.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
