Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah<\/strong>
\nThe news drones on<\/strong>
\nMassaging and spinning <\/strong>
\nDisembodied heads a top<\/strong>
\nHeartless ‘n titties in dis cursive and desultry means<\/strong>
\nTemperately flailing to wake us<\/strong>
\nFrom our terrorific slumber<\/strong>
\nOur tired and true rejoinder<\/strong>
\nHit the snooze<\/strong>
\nYes! In the land of nod<\/strong>
\nObey the well-dressed anchor<\/strong>
\nAround your neck<\/strong>
\nNothing to see, hear!<\/strong>
\nAccept properly-placed comas<\/strong>
\nOverlooking a legion of meanings<\/strong>
\nThat might<\/strong>
\nArise from our side<\/strong>
\nMaddened more<\/strong>
\nBy head lines in-grave<\/strong>
\nAs face each mourn<\/strong>
\nNot up to catching forty hoodwinks<\/strong>
\nBefore rolling over and playing dead<\/strong>
\nTo any smooth promise posed<\/strong>
\nTo have done with the etched of the earth<\/strong>
\nPenned in stone<\/strong>
\nFashioned to suture self<\/strong>
\nWith the bounty of some spell binding medium <\/strong>
\nRipped at the seem<\/strong>
\nQuipped with stupefying farce<\/strong>
\nAs the wise crack<\/strong>
\nHumanity snapping to a tension<\/strong>
\n‘n snare with each punch line <\/strong>
\nIt’s how the net works<\/strong>
\nNaught<\/strong>
\nTo see the catch<\/strong>
\nRe-lying on day-old knews<\/strong>
\nIn abiding wore<\/strong>
\nFor flagging ardor<\/strong>
\nAnd uniform fatigues<\/strong>
\nAm bushed<\/strong>
\nAnd each recurring brake of daze<\/strong>
\nPared with a new assault<\/strong>
\nTo be taken<\/strong>
\nWith agreein’<\/strong>
\nEnnui start all over agin<\/strong><\/p>\n

The news as imperfected by the American media conglomerates may represent the most distant information and perspective in acquiring and harmonizing with timeless truths. \u00a0\"Drowning<\/a>This incongruence between timeliness and timelessness is a form of endemic violence perpetuated on the American public. \u00a0What bleeds leads, and awe is vanity. \u00a0Flittering from superficial story to superficial story leaves the cursory public interest unattended too. \u00a0The veil of objectivity alludes responsibility. \u00a0The conveniently hidden agenda of corporate interests routinely protects itself from authentic critique. \u00a0Useful as chain mail, amid evil sensibility is safeguarded for the lords of the manner. \u00a0Civility hijacks dissent. \u00a0Of coarse, vulgar opinion poses handily\u00a0as master debating.<\/p>\n

I find an antidote to such blindness-producing jerks, listening to Democracy Now (DemocracyNow.org<\/a>) every weekday. \u00a0\"If<\/a>This bastion of independent media provides in-depth coverage of real issues and real people, speaking truth to power every broadcast. \u00a0Also, I relish the launching of Toledo’s own independent, noncommercial radio station, WAKT 106.1 FM<\/a>, this July. \u00a0This radio station will provide locally-produced content free from commercial interests. \u00a0My public health show, Just for the Health of it<\/em>, will take on corporate health interests to aid and abet local folks in powering up their own health, the health of our community, and the health of our planet.<\/p>\n

May you find meaningful and uplifting sources of news and information, good for awe.<\/p>\n
