{"id":2176,"date":"2016-03-22T10:00:19","date_gmt":"2016-03-22T15:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/?p=2176"},"modified":"2016-03-22T10:00:19","modified_gmt":"2016-03-22T15:00:19","slug":"poem-lamenting-violins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/2016\/03\/22\/poem-lamenting-violins\/","title":{"rendered":"POEM: Lamenting Violins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Wince agin<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Their is a terror<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>In the fabric of our lies<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Buy and buy<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>An other<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>A tact <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Against our weigh of life<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>As if<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Versus from the Koran <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>As mirror dogmas eating dogmas<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>And due what<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>We no best<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Selling sects<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>For a faction of the true accost<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>As so so frayed<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>To efface the music<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>As lamenting violins<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Playing well on the civilized aside of the border<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Though knot so much on the other<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.toppun.com\/Political\/Buttons\/Ending-Poverty-Anti-Terrorism-that-Works-POLITICAL-BUTTON.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/toppun.com\/ProductImages\/political\/11-Ending-Poverty-Anti-Terrorism.gif\" alt=\"Ending Poverty: Anti-Terrorism that Works - POLITICAL BUTTON\" width=\"172\" height=\"173\" \/><\/a>I just wrote this poem in the wake of another terrorist attack and the ongoing repose of colonial rule.\u00a0 Is terrorism some kind of wake up call?\u00a0 That is, to our highest hopes and ideals rather than our lowest, most base instincts.
