A World Without Boarders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mother earth bids us<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>What rend must we pay<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>For such fear in dwelling<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>In apprehending tenets<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>In discriminating borne<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Giving no quarter<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>To mother and child<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>And presumed fodder<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Taking the place<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Of wear every won re-sides<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Drawing lyin&#8217;s in the sand<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>And hiking up shields of water<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>In a tsunami of divine just us<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>As fences of steal<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Wherever we land<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Keeping out nothing worth wile<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>As per sever demeanor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>From our guarded kind<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>As all is wall<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>In the confines of what is ours a loan<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Yet in efface of<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The largesse attract of common ground<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Enjoining to gather<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>What is the lease we can do<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Inter or gate<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Only wanton to ax<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>How to occupy that territory sow dear<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Between haves and halves not<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>As humanity cleaves<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>To that intrepid hope<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Of a world without boarders<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>In habit awe<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>As kin to won sky<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Our only limit<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This poem addresses the theme of borders and the human propensity to divide us up into cliques, clans, classes, and territories.\u00a0 Such divisions are often to the detriment of the common good.\u00a0 While often under the guise of security, such social stratifications unjust as often reinforce lazy conveniences and guarded advantages.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/toppun.com\/Political\/Buttons\/No-Human-Being-is-Illegal-No-Ser-Human-Es-Ilegal-POLITICAL-BUTTON.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/toppun.com\/Political\/No-Human-Being-is-Illegal-No-Ser-Human-Es-Ilegal.gif\" alt=\"No Human Being is Illegal \/ No Ser Human Es Ilegal POLITICAL BUTTON\" width=\"172\" height=\"173\" \/><\/a>In this great nation of immigrants &#8212; and conquistadors to indigenous peoples &#8212; there has been much political rhetoric about building walls.\u00a0 Xenophobia and scapegoating seem to have found more openly vulgar expressions in contemporary politics.\u00a0 The peeling back of the veneer of civilization may simply be a necessary process to move from unconsciousness to consciousness of institutionalized racism, first-worldism, the seeming necessity of permanent war, and xenophobic fears of all sorts.\u00a0 As our ways of life reveal themselves as ways of death, the choice for life becomes more clear &#8212; perhaps not any easier, but clearer.\u00a0 This poem begins with the context of Mother Earth and human mother and child.\u00a0 We are all children of Mother Earth, who only considers walls and borders as scars on her beauty.\u00a0 Each of us is a child, daughter or son.\u00a0 We are all brothers and sisters, cousins and kin.\u00a0 We are one humanity.\u00a0 We either realize that blood is thicker than water or our water will be thickened with blood.\u00a0 We are all boarders on planet earth.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/toppun.com\/Political\/Buttons\/Activism-Is-My-Rent-For-Living-On-This-Planet-Alice-Walker-quote-POLITICAL-BUTTON.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/toppun.com\/Political\/Activism-Is-My-Rent-For-Living-On-This-Planet-Alice-Walker-quote.gif\" alt=\"Activism Is My Rent For Living On This Planet -- Alice Walker quote POLITICAL BUTTON\" width=\"172\" height=\"172\" \/><\/a>No human being is illegal.\u00a0 Nation states only deserve to exist inasmuch as they serve humanity and Mother Earth.\u00a0 Without such stewardship, we just might find out the hard weigh what a world without boarders looks like.\u00a0 May we rekindle a deep affection and connection to awe of our sisters and brothers near and far, for the healing of
