My proffered busyness<\/strong>
\nIs riding poetry<\/strong>
\nWherever<\/strong>
\nIt takes me<\/strong>
\nAnd even as sow many<\/strong>
\nTimes come a bout<\/strong>
\nThe heist spot in the whirled<\/strong>
\nStrong-armed by incoming<\/strong>
\nDealing with lives steel<\/strong>
\nAs sell sum<\/strong>
\nPilfer everything<\/strong>
\nAs if<\/strong>
\nFollowing racing rats to a loot<\/strong>
\nOr tender my resignation<\/strong>
\nAnd well come<\/strong>
\nMy big amble<\/strong>
\nOut performing<\/strong>
\nPeddling vagabonds<\/strong>
\nAt any prize<\/strong>
\nWear happiness too spare<\/strong>
\nRambling on<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a poem about\u00a0a poet’s joy in writing poetry — that would be me.\u00a0 This is yet another ode to the muse which strikes without warning, though with overwhelming warming.\u00a0 There is little question that writing poetry is a way for me to work through living in such a surreal world, where grave injustices and serendipitous joys reign over my life.\u00a0 This tension between the often heart rendering work of social justice and profound\u00a0gratitude for the many blessings in my life is a familiar theme in my life and poetry.\u00a0 May you work for justice with a grateful heart; and may your joy be deep enough to sustain you in the most difficult times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
