It is never<\/strong>
\nEnough<\/strong>
\nI want amor!<\/strong><\/p>\n

This very short poem, like most of my poems, can be read (at least) two ways.\u00a0 The first line, It is never<\/em>, can be read as one not getting love, declaring Enough<\/em>, and wanting amor.\u00a0 Or, this love poem can be read as having amor and always wanting more.\u00a0 Of course, both of these ways of reading this poem definitively want more love!<\/p>\n

While I think that the question: how much is enough? is a critical question to answer well in order to live a satisfying life, I am drawn to the expansive nature of love that ever yearns for ever more love.\u00a0 I believe that the built-in desire for love to replicate, grow, and expand is why reciprocity in relationships is central.\u00a0 Love not reciprocated, not appreciated or honored, naturally flows to where there is amor and desire for amor.\u00a0 Of course, love, in its overflowing nature, puts itself out there as an ever-flowing invitation, but it occupies and relishes those places where the invitation is accepted.\u00a0 Love may very well be the life force, or, at least, one of its better metaphors.\u00a0 Love spills awe over the place, but grows best where it is welcomed by open hearts big enough to take in its grand gifts and embraced by fertile attitudes of gratitude.\u00a0 Can we be too gracious?\u00a0 Probably only if we have some distinct notion of what is enough, what we might settle for.\u00a0 Love in action, as a verb, cannot settle, as it is imbued with an ever-expanding nature.\u00a0 May you not settle; may you grow in love and find it returned a hundred-fold.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
