From wear<\/strong>
\nYou ask<\/strong>
\nCame quiet<\/strong>
\nA storm<\/strong>
\nAt the end<\/strong>
\nOf won’s rope<\/strong>
\nThe blest piece<\/strong>
\nEver no’ing still<\/strong>
\nFalling in too<\/strong>
\nA death too small to handle<\/strong>
\nA life too big to grasp<\/strong>
\nLaughing at what was wince<\/strong>
\nA mirror<\/strong>
\nA side<\/strong>
\nHaving passed<\/strong>
\nThe looking class<\/strong>
\nAnd seeing<\/strong>
\nOne’s love<\/strong>
\nThe phase of God<\/strong>
\nFully human<\/strong>
\nWhen wholly divine<\/strong><\/p>\n

This poem is about glimpsing beyond the veil and rooting one’s life in the mysteries experienced from the other side, from passing through the looking glass.\u00a0 Of course, if unaware or too deeply skeptical to lend any credence to such experiences, then you can also reliably fall back on love manifest directly into this realm, as Victor Hugo, in his classic, Les Miserables<\/em>, says, “To love another person is to see the face of God.” \u00a0\"To<\/a>God is love and we only need to see love to see God.\u00a0 May you see love wherever you are looking, even if you don’t happen to be looking for love.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
