Wee live<\/strong>
\nIn a whirled<\/strong>
\nDetermined<\/strong>
\nTo be<\/strong>
\nOr not to be<\/strong>
\nMaking head weigh<\/strong>
\nAt an impassable gait<\/strong>
\nIn effable hustle<\/strong>
\nA jeer of our peers<\/strong>
\nThat hurry can knock us down<\/strong>
\nOr give momentary flights<\/strong>
\nHolding out that portentous raze<\/strong>
\nAnd awe that can be done<\/strong>
\nAs one<\/strong>
\nSounds off<\/strong>
\nWithin<\/strong>
\nThe I of the storm<\/strong>
\nEffacing hail from above<\/strong>
\nHeavin’ from bellow<\/strong>
\nIt’s awe too big<\/strong>
\nWee<\/strong>
\nCan’t hold it<\/strong>
\nIn feudal urgency<\/strong>
\nTo pee or not to pee<\/strong>
\nIs not the quest in<\/strong>
\nPrefiguring some wiz in the sky<\/strong>
\nOr spitting into the tempest of all<\/strong>
\nExpect or rating too much<\/strong>
\nAs how many angles can you fit in a pinhead<\/strong>
\nAnd still idol minds alike<\/strong>
\nSow ponderous<\/strong>
\nAs wee plot a long<\/strong>
\nMaster-full ark<\/strong>
\nBuoying our grave undertakings<\/strong>
\nMeasured in feat (customarily half-dozin’)<\/strong>
\nOar how many pee-wee leagues under the see<\/strong>
\nAs wee under go<\/strong>
\nThe vicious cycle a loan<\/strong>
\nAnd presumed raging above<\/strong>
\nWile all else<\/strong>
\nHoly beneath me<\/strong>
\nHour lonely consolation prize<\/strong>
\nAn unending stream<\/strong>
\nOf I cons and effigies<\/strong>
\nFrom mobile chimeras<\/strong>
\nRe-cording virtually everything<\/strong>
\nStill life un-more<\/strong>
\nAs colored in millions of weighs<\/strong>
\nMarooned, blue, and doggedly yellow<\/strong>
\nLeaking buckets of stout meanings<\/strong>
\nFull only of those flipping angry birds<\/strong>
\nAs we pass on<\/strong>
\nAnd piss off<\/strong>
\nAs a gust in this fare whirled<\/strong>
\nIn league with one an other<\/strong>
\nIn choir<\/strong>
\nHow won might<\/strong>
\nMyth the point<\/strong>
\nA mist being<\/strong>
\nSprayed and neutered<\/strong>
\nEngendering duplicity<\/strong>
\nAnd obscure human rites<\/strong>
\nFrom witch<\/strong>
\nSow many<\/strong>
\nMust ultimately depart<\/strong>
\nA reluctant re-treat<\/strong>
\nIn urgently having to go<\/strong>
\nAnd having flailed<\/strong>
\nIn countering a wind wind situation<\/strong>
\nMust still<\/strong>
\nGo<\/strong>
\nWon on won<\/strong>
\nWith our spitting image<\/strong>
\nConvinced that in what is wasted<\/strong>
\nIs a 95% solution<\/strong>
\nWorthy of imbibing<\/strong>
\nAnd mirrorly a tad yellow<\/strong>
\nSatisfied in its reigning from above<\/strong><\/p>\n

This poem juxtaposes many common yet seemingly incongruous themes.\u00a0 This poem may be prototypical in melding daily life with divine ponderings and cheap jokes related to urination.\u00a0 I delight in the interplay between such themes, ultimately pointing to the paradoxical reverence of irreverence.\u00a0 I have little interest in a God distant from everyday life.\u00a0 I have more interest in the plight of creatures vainly trying to escape their wee lot in life. I root for creatures to find their truest roots.\u00a0 For me, I find this as a decidedly spiritual project tempered by kicking the buckets of piss and vinegar I find so abundantly.\u00a0 Go deep or go home…but I repeat myself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
