More Than, a Nester<\/strong>
\nOwed to Se\u00e1n Nestor<\/em>
\nin honor of his 29th birthday<\/h2>\n

In the beginning<\/strong><\/em>
\nThere was a good egg<\/strong><\/em>
\nIn compassed<\/strong><\/em>
\nBy a paltry brood<\/strong><\/em>
\nA restless nativity<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd ageless questions<\/strong><\/em>
\nOf what thirst<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd what last<\/strong><\/em>
\nOrdinally his number<\/strong><\/em>
\nEnigmatically leading and following <\/strong><\/em>
\nBoth a head of the pack<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd singing his song inquire<\/strong><\/em>
\nWeather alone<\/strong><\/em>
\nOr getting it all together<\/strong><\/em>
\nFrom elementary schooling<\/strong><\/em>
\nTo places high<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd lo<\/strong><\/em>
\nReceiving the third degree<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd more than a hunch<\/strong><\/em>
\nThat there has to be<\/strong><\/em>
\nMore to IT than this<\/strong><\/em>
\nTo each day beat a different conundrum<\/strong><\/em>
\nTo get with the program<\/strong><\/em>
\nAND run<\/strong><\/em>
\nTaking a ballot from behind<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd still quixotically facing<\/strong><\/em>
\nThe con jury of the democratic machine<\/strong><\/em>
\nPutting on a show<\/strong><\/em>
\nExposing posterity for all<\/strong><\/em>
\nA worthy forerunner<\/strong><\/em>
\nFor when hell frees us<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd that blue moon<\/strong><\/em>
\nAt once kicks off<\/strong><\/em>
\nSuch a buff juncture<\/strong><\/em>
\nOf renewed politics<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd transparent patronage<\/strong><\/em>
\nOf native sun<\/strong><\/em>
\nSe\u00e1n on, dazzling brother!<\/strong><\/em>
\nAs we cast our ballads for you<\/strong><\/em>
\nThinking outside the box<\/strong><\/em>
\nOar these daze, IT is something else<\/strong><\/em>
\nPerhaps a bout<\/strong><\/em>
\nNot mirrorly pick up sticks<\/strong><\/em>
\nTo be a big hit<\/strong><\/em>
\nRather solemn assemblies<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd parties making US green<\/strong><\/em>
\nWith envy<\/strong><\/em>
\nOnly of what is done together <\/strong><\/em>
\nOne for awe<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd awe for won<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd in earnest<\/strong><\/em>
\nWe are paid<\/strong><\/em>
\nSurpassing fine feathered friends<\/strong><\/em>
\nRoosts no longer our rulers <\/strong><\/em>
\nMeasured by our passions<\/strong><\/em>
\nSized up by our compassion<\/strong><\/em>
\nKnow longer having<\/strong><\/em>
\nOnly to trust<\/strong><\/em>
\nAs one under 30<\/strong><\/em>
\nSoon enough<\/strong><\/em>
\nGetting over one self<\/strong><\/em>
\nWhys beyond your ears<\/strong><\/em>
\nA fly guy<\/strong><\/em>
\nMaking home wherever<\/strong><\/em>
\nYou are<\/strong><\/em>
\nMore than, a nester<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
