{"id":1344,"date":"2014-02-09T13:57:44","date_gmt":"2014-02-09T18:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/?p=1344"},"modified":"2014-02-09T14:02:59","modified_gmt":"2014-02-09T19:02:59","slug":"poem-rutherford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toppun.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/09\/poem-rutherford\/","title":{"rendered":"POEM: Rutherford"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Rutherford was a man<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">Whose cruelty was only<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">Acceded by his ignorance<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">And all kinds of people<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">Parted with his presence<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">A gift to know one<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">Leased of awe himself<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">And if you ran into him<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">In all likely hood<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">It was he<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">Who ran into you<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">A cunning certainty<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">His very name meaning<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: large;\">Synonymous with first and last<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This poem fits into my growing genre of mini-biographies or beginnings of novels.\u00a0 First, nothing personal to anyone named Rutherford: <em>All characters appearing in this work are fictitious.
