POEM: OWED TO MARRIAGE EQUALITY – Statue of Liberty Kissing Lady Justice

Here is my Independence Day tribute to marriage equality.  Enjoy!

Owed to Marriage Equality
by Dan Rutt, alias “Top Pun” (it’s just, my pun name)

When lady justice
Who is out of sight
Sees statuesque liberty
Carrying a torch for her
A liberty belle rings “out”
And from a Philly unbroken
Transcending brotherly love
Engendering flaming kisses
There is
Justice
Of the peace
